Process Flow:
Scenario 1: No changes to the approved quote
New -> Submitted -> Approved – > Completed
Scenario 2: Variation made after the quote was approved
New -> Submitted -> Approved – > Open -> Submitted -> Approved – > Completed
Scenario 3: Quote has been cancelled
New -> Submitted -> Declined – > Completed
Scenario 4: Quote has been amended after it was cancelled
New -> Submitted -> Declined – > Open -> Submitted -> Approved – > Completed
Business Rules:
When the Quote Status is set to New or Submitted
user can edit the Quote
Only Quote Email and Printer Icon should be enabled in the Summary Page
JSS , Paint Order, and Invoice should be disabled only for Email Icon in the Summary Page
same applies to the Quote content in the Dashboard – Invoice, Paint Order and Quote
user can Clone the Quote
When the Quote Status is set to Approved
user cannot edit the Quote i.e., the quote content is Read-Only
Only Quote Email Icon should be disabled in the Summary Page
JSS , Paint Order, Invoice and Progress Payment should be enabled both Email and Printer Icon in the Summary Page
user can only view the content and existing PDF
same applies to the Quote content in the Dashboard – Invoice, Paint Order and Quote
user can Clone the Quote
user need to set the status to Open from Approved to make the required changes in the Quote
When the Quote Status is set to Declined
user cannot edit the Quote i.e., the quote content is Read-Only
Quote , JSS , Paint Order, Invoice and Progress Payment should be disabled both Email and Printer Icon in the Summary Page
user can only view the content
same applies to the Quote content in the Dashboard – Invoice, Paint Order and Quote
user can Clone the Quote
user need to set the status to Open from Declined to make the required changes in the Quote
When the Quote Status is set to Open (same rule as New)
user can edit the Quote
Only Quote Email and Printer Icon should be enabled in the Summary Page
JSS , Paint Order, and Invoice should be disabled only for Email Icon in the Summary Page
same applies to the Quote content in the Dashboard – Invoice, Paint Order and Quote
user can Clone the Quote
When the Quote Status is set to Complete
user cannot change the content or status of the quote
the quote content is Read-Only
same applies to the Quote content in the Dashboard – Invoice, Paint Order and Quote
user can Clone the Quote (only this option is allowed)
To override this Quote Process flow you can use the Quote Status Management tool on the Quote Details page.
